FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the lead time for an order?
A: As of March, 2020, please expect a lead time of at least six weeks (from the time payment is received to the time your order ships). Every pouch is crafted by hand and I am trying to get orders fulfilled as quickly as possible. Thank you all for your patience!

Q: Why are your speedloader pouches so expensive?
A: I craft each pouch by hand from one piece of kydex and this just takes time. The polished edge pouches literally take twice as long to craft as the unpolished edge versions. I need to wet-sand and then polish all the inner and outer bends and folds and the price reflects this.

Q: What belt widths can you accommodate?
A: JOX Loader Pouches can be ordered for the following belt widths: 1.25 inches, 1.5 inches, and 1.75 inches. For speedloader pouches, there is an extra $5 fee per pouch to fit the J-hook for a 1.25 inch belt.

Q: Do your pouches fit dual-layer gun belts?
A: Yes. All the J-hooks are folded around a 1/4" thick piece of wood and dual-layer leather belts are 7/32"–1/4" thick.

Q: Is there any plan to make these pouches for duty belts?
A: Please contact me for specific requests for duty belt pouches.

Q: Is there any plan to make these pouches for full moon clips?
A: Yes. I can accommodate some 6-, 7-, and 8-shot moon clips and I'll be working on pouches for 5-shot .38/.357 and 9mm moon clips in the near future.

Q: I carry defensive rounds but practice and compete with factory target rounds. How do you accommodate for different cartridge lengths?
A: Each pouch comes with three (3) 1/16" thick foam spacers. If necessary, use any combination of spacers to take up any vertical play between the top of the speedloader and the pouch's dual retention-lips. For the cup design, the spacers allow one to adjust how high or low the loader rides in the pouch.

Q: Must I indicate caliber when ordering?
A: No. All pouches can accommodate either .38spl or .357mag when loaded to the MAX OAL of 1.55" for .38spl and 1.59" for .357mag. Pouches for larger calibers will be sized for those calibers (e.g., .44mag, .44 spl).

Q: Must I indicate a specific speedloader when ordering?
A: Yes. If you do not know your speedloader's make or model number, please contact me and provide your revolver make and model. I'll help you figure out what loader you have.

Q: Are your dual-lip speedloader pouches IDPA legal?
A: YES! I spoke with Robert Ray on March 6, 2015 and he did confirm their legality as per the IDPA rules involving Speed loader carriers (8.6.3.2).

Q: Can you make pouches for a speedloader that you don't have listed on your website?
A: Yes. I would ask that you contact me for more info. You may need to mail in your speedloader for final fitting. No heat or hot kydex will come in contact with your loader.

Q: Can you make loader pouches in colors other than black?
A: Yes. Please contact me for pricing as these are custom orders.

Q: What if I'd rather pay by check?
A: Please contact me and let me know what you are looking to order. I can get an invoice together for you and send it via email or through the good old USPS. I will be sure to inform you once your check arrives and send back the invoice marked Paid in Full.

Q: What is your return policy?
A: If you are not 100% satisfied with your order, you have 30 days to return it for a full refund (minus shipping). I just ask that you please call or email and indicate that you will be making a return. I cannot accept physically damaged pouches. Return shipping costs are not covered by JOX Loader Pouches.
